About The Firm

Dramatic economic and technological developments within the past several years and new competitive challenges created by the emerging global economy are creating unprecedented changes in Korean policies regulating foreign investments and industry. Foreign firms which do business in Korea must contend with the rapid transformation and evolution of the Korean business environment.

The International Law & Economy Institute (ILEI) was founded to assist clients in coping with these challenges. Our offices are located in the heart of Seoul, where our close proximity to key government building complexes allows us to remain in constant contact with the policy makers who shape the highly regulated Korean business environment.

To this end, ILEI has a proven record of success in paving the way for consummation of major international business transactions in the face of protective trade systems and practices. The firm's clients include, among others, major multinational Fortune 100 and Forbes 50 corporations involved in power generation, energy fuels, aerospace, and telecommunications services, as well as domestic Korean corporations, financial institutions and government agencies.
